Turn your listing into a quote machine
The free listing gives you presence. Premium gives you results: receive quote requests, rank ahead, and reach buyers in several languages.
Why a listing alone is not enough
An industrial buyer looking for a subcontractor does not read a directory from top to bottom. They search for “stainless steel Swiss machining, small batch”, open three or four listings, and send their enquiry to the ones that visibly match their need. Everything is decided on those three or four listings.
A free listing puts you on the list. It shows your name, your town and your main processes. That is enough to exist, not to be chosen: the buyer finds neither your machine capacities, nor your achievable tolerances, nor your inspection equipment, nor a single picture of your parts. Above all, they cannot reach you — quote requests are forwarded to Premium listings only.
Premium is not about paying to climb a list. It is about having a real presentation page, and receiving the enquiries that concern it.
What a Premium listing contains
Everything is editable from your account, with no action needed on our side. Changes are reviewed before publication.
Quote requests
You receive an email for every request matching your area and your processes. The buyer’s contact details, specification, quantity, lead time and attachments are consulted in your account — never in the email, so that a shared mailbox or a careless forward cannot expose them. All your requests can be exported as CSV for your own tracking tools.
A complete presentation page
Description with no length limit, detailed machine list (make, model, travels, number of axes), inspection equipment, key figures — floor area, headcount, capacity in diameter, length and weight. Certifications with supporting documents, illustrated case studies, workshop news, client references, photo gallery, brochure and catalogue for download, logo, presentation video, links to your website and social profiles.
Priority ranking
Your listing moves to the top of the town and process pages that concern you, with a “Featured” marker. This ranking is disclosed to visitors: our Ranking methodology page states publicly that payment influences display order. We do not hide it, European platform regulation requires it, and an informed buyer trusts a ranking whose rule they understand.
A listing in French and English
We translate your description into English using the real terminology of the trade — “décolletage” becomes “Swiss machining”, not a literal translation. Your listing becomes visible to Swiss, German and Benelux buyers sourcing in France.
Statistics that are actually useful
Listing views, clicks through to your website, requests received, and how these change over time. Enough to know whether your presence produces anything, without a dashboard nobody opens.
Your visibility beyond your own website
Many workshops have a brochure website built ten years ago, never updated, invisible on the searches that matter. Rebuilding it is a long and costly project. Your listing, on the other hand, is a page dedicated to your company on a domain entirely devoted to machining, linked from your town and process pages, and written for the queries buyers actually type.
In practice this gives you a second way into the search results. Your website and your listing can both appear for the same query: you occupy two positions instead of one. For a workshop whose site ranks poorly, the listing often becomes the first point of contact.
Being readable by ChatGPT, Gemini and answer engines
A growing share of professional research now begins with a question put to an assistant rather than keywords typed into a search engine. “Which Swiss machining workshops in Haute-Savoie can work stainless steel in small batches?” These assistants read the web, but not all pages equally: they favour those whose information is explicit, structured and verifiable.
Every listing publishes its information as standardised structured data — the format these systems read directly: company name, town, area served, list of processes and materials, machine capacities. The content is plain text readable without JavaScript, the page is translated into English, and figures are dated. That is precisely what makes a page usable by a machine.
Let us be clear about what this means. Nobody can guarantee an appearance in an assistant’s answer, and you should be wary of anyone promising one: neither Google nor OpenAI sells that placement, and their systems change constantly. What we do guarantee is that your listing has the technical characteristics that make it usable — where a PDF brochure, an image of text, or a site whose content only appears after scripts run, are not.
What about the link to your website?
Your Premium listing displays a link to your website and social profiles. That link is clicked by qualified visitors, and you know how many: the counter appears in your statistics. It does, however, carry the “sponsored” attribute and passes no ranking value to your site — deliberately. Selling links that do pass value is a practice Google penalises, and the penalty would hit your site as much as this directory. We would rather bring you visitors and quote requests than an advantage that would turn against you.
Pricing
VAT not applicable (French tax code, article 293 B). Payment on order: the subscription starts when payment is received. No automatic renewal — at the end date the listing simply reverts to the free plan.

A trade-show booth costs thousands of euros for a few days. Premium brings you requests all year round, in several languages.
Finding machining customers: the channels, and what they really cost
Premium is not the only way to fill an order book, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. Here are the channels workshops actually use, and what each one demands.
Word of mouth
The best channel by far: free, qualified, with a conversion rate no other comes close to. Its flaw is that it cannot be steered. It depends on existing customers, it caps out at the network you already have, and it collapses when a long-standing client offshores or goes under. A foundation, rarely a growth strategy.
Trade shows
A stand at an industrial trade show costs several thousand euros for a few days, not counting two or three people tied up and the travel expenses. The contacts are excellent, but the window is narrow: once the show ends, your presence drops back to zero until next year.
Direct prospecting
Calling or writing to buyers works, but it is commercial time most workshops under fifty people do not have. The owner is quoting in the morning and on the shop floor in the afternoon. And prospecting targets companies that may have no need at the moment you call, where a directory captures buyers who are already looking.
Rebuilding and optimising your website
This is the structural solution, and a good one. It is also a project of several months and several thousand euros: design, copywriting, development, then search optimisation that takes a year to pay off. Worth doing when cash flow and time allow — meanwhile, your listing is a page already indexed on a domain that already ranks.
Commission-based sourcing platforms
They take a percentage of every deal closed, which aligns their interest with yours — but eats into a margin already tight in subcontracting, and they often place themselves between you and the client. Our model is the opposite: a fixed subscription, no commission, and the buyer deals with you directly. What you sign is yours.
None of these channels replaces the others. Premium fits where your presence is weakest: searches by buyers who do not know you yet, and who are looking right now.
Who Premium is not for
Better said before you pay than after.
If your order book is full for twelve months. Receiving enquiries you will turn down brings you nothing but time spent replying. Come back when you have capacity to fill.
If you expect results within a fortnight. Indexing takes days, ranking takes months, and the cycle from quote request to order is counted in weeks. This is a one-year investment, not an advertising campaign.
If nobody can keep the listing up to date. A complete listing — machine list, case studies, news — converts; a half-filled listing never touched again does not. Allow half a day at the start, then an hour now and then.
If you work for a single client and are not looking for others. You do not need visibility, you need to secure that relationship. That is not what we sell.

Frequently asked questions
Does this improve my own website’s search ranking?
Not through the link, and we will say so plainly: it carries the “sponsored” attribute and passes no ranking value. That is deliberate — selling links that do pass value is penalised by Google, and the penalty would hit your site. Your listing itself does rank, however: it gives you a second presence in the results, on queries where your own site may not appear at all.
Can my listing appear in ChatGPT or Gemini answers?
It has the technical characteristics for it: information published as standardised structured data, text readable without JavaScript, an English version, dated figures. That is what makes a page usable by these systems. But no appearance can be guaranteed, by us or by anyone: those placements are not for sale and the systems change without notice. Anyone promising otherwise is selling you air.
Several premium workshops in my town: how are they ordered?
At equal subscription, ranking follows the public criteria described on the Ranking methodology page: how complete the listing is, seniority, and match with the search. A fully detailed listing outranks a premium listing left empty. We do not sell the top spot, and we do not cap the number of premium listings per town either: that would create a windfall for whoever signed first.
Who sees the quote requests I receive?
You, and the site operator. Other premium workshops matching the same search receive it too — a buyer consults several suppliers, that is what a consultation is. None of them, however, sees that you received it or what you replied.
Are requests filtered? Will I get cold-calling?
The form is protected by several anti-robot barriers and every request passes under our eyes before being forwarded. Sales approaches disguised as quote requests are removed. We do not claim to intercept every unwanted message, but you will not receive purchased mailing lists.
How long does it take to fill in a listing?
Allow half a day for the first pass if you gather your material first: machine list with models and travels, part photos, certifications, brochure. After that, an hour now and then for news and new case studies. This is the main success factor: a detailed listing converts, a half-filled one does not.
Who owns the photos and text I publish?
You do. You grant us the right to display them on your listing for as long as it is published, nothing more. They are not resold, transferred or reused elsewhere. On a removal request, they are deleted.
Can I publish a listing without showing my phone number or email?
That is the default. Your direct contact details do not appear on the public listing. Buyers use the form, which filters automated canvassing and guarantees every contact comes from real intent. You then reply directly to the buyer, with no intermediary.
Do you take a commission on deals signed?
Never. The subscription is a fixed amount, known in advance, whatever the number of requests received or deals closed. We do not ask the value of your orders and have no way of knowing it. What you sign is entirely yours.
What do you do with my customers’ data?
Buyers’ contact details are kept for as long as the request needs processing, then purged automatically according to the periods set out in our privacy policy. They are not resold, transferred to third parties, or used for canvassing. You can request the export or deletion of your own data at any time.
How many quote requests will I receive?
We commit to no volume, and you should be wary of anyone who does. The number depends on your area, your processes and actual market demand at a given time. What we do guarantee is that every request matching your profile is forwarded to you, with no filtering and no priority between subscribers.
What happens if no premium workshop matches a request?
The request reaches us and we point the buyer in the right direction. A quote request is never lost, but it is forwarded to Premium listings only: that is precisely what the free tier does not include.
Can I try before paying?
No, and we prefer to say so plainly. A trial period would make no sense for this service: between a listing being indexed by search engines, rising in the results and attracting a first enquiry, several weeks pass. A fifteen-day trial would show nothing and would wrongly suggest the service does not work.
How quickly is my listing visible?
Immediately on the site, as soon as it is activated. In search results, indexing usually takes a few days; ranking, however, builds over several months. That is the normal pace of organic search, and nobody can seriously accelerate it.
Is the price per site or per company?
Per listing, therefore per site. A group with several production sites has one listing per site, each attached to its own town: that is what allows each workshop to rank in its own area. Write to us for multiple sites.
What happens to my listing if I do not renew?
It reverts to free. It is neither deleted nor unpublished, and your content — photos, documents, case studies — is kept in the database. Premium features close: you no longer receive quote requests and your ranking returns to standard. Renewing reopens everything as it was.
Is priority ranking fair to other workshops?
It is above all transparent. The Ranking methodology page sets out the criteria publicly and states in plain terms that payment influences display order, as European platform regulation requires. Free listings remain published, indexed and visible; they are neither hidden nor pushed to the bottom.
How are contact details protected?
Buyers’ contact details never travel by email: the notification tells you a request has arrived, the detail is consulted in your account behind authentication. Your own contact details are not displayed in plain text on your public listing — buyers use the form, which spares you automated canvassing.
Can I edit my listing myself?
Yes, entirely, from your account. Changes go through a review before publication — that is what keeps the directory’s quality up and prevents a listing from turning into an advertisement. Review takes a few working days.
My listing already exists although I did not create it. Why?
Listings are compiled from publicly available information, as any professional directory does. You can claim yours free of charge to take control of it, request a correction, or ask for its removal by writing to us. Claiming costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Is there a minimum term or automatic renewal?
No. The subscription covers the period paid for, six months or a year, and stops at the end of it unless you renew. No automatic payment, no tacit renewal: continuing is your decision.
Do you issue invoices, and are you registered for VAT?
An invoice is issued for every subscription. The publishing company is not registered for VAT — article 293 B of the French tax code — so the prices shown are the amounts actually due.
