Ranking methodology

cnc-machine ranks the companies it lists. This page explains how, and what influences that ranking. It is published in accordance with European Regulation 2019/1150 on platform-to-business relations.

What determines the display order

On a city page as on a machine type page, companies are ordered by the following criteria, applied in this order:

1. Paid subscription. Premium listings appear before free listings. This is the first criterion, and it is disclosed on every listing concerned with a "Featured" label.
2. Completeness score. At equal subscription level, a filled-in listing comes before an empty one: declared processes and materials, written description, certifications, machine list, photographs.
3. Alphabetical order. Where the first two criteria are equal, so that the result is stable and reproducible.

Does payment influence the ranking?

Yes, and it is the dominant criterion. A Premium subscription places the listing at the top of the lists in which it appears, gives it access to quote requests, and lets it appear on the pages of neighbouring cities where the company declares it operates.

This influence is made visible: every featured listing carries an explicit label, and every list concerned displays the corresponding notice. No paid placement is presented as an editorial result.

What does not influence the ranking

• No commission is charged on business concluded, and the volume of business done has no effect on rank.
• No payment can have a competing company removed, downgraded or hidden.
• The number of quote requests received does not improve rank.

How a company enters the directory

Listings are built from publicly available business information, then enriched by the company when it claims its listing. No payment is required to appear in the directory: basic listing is free and remains so.

A city page is published only once it lists enough companies. Below that threshold the page exists but is not offered to search engines: better no page than an empty one.

Improving your ranking without paying

The second criterion is entirely free. Claiming your listing, declaring your processes and materials, writing a precise description and keeping your information up to date improves your rank without any subscription.

Challenging a ranking, and removal

A company that considers its ranking, its description or its presence unjustified may write to contact@solange-agency.com. Every request receives a reasoned reply. Outright removal of a listing is granted on simple request from the company concerned.
